I got a "California jelly blade" and this Meguiar x200 water magnet drying towel. One pass with the jelly blade got 95% of the water off and a quick rubdown with the drying towel the rest. About 5 times faster than the old Chamois method I used to use with no need to wring out the drying towel before finishing the job.I cannot comment on the problem another reviewer had with the towel after it was saturated with water since I was only removing a small amount of water. Perhaps once this towel absorbs enough water to need wringing out it may not work as well.
You are better off using an old fashioned shami that never needs wringing out and doesn't leave water spots like this towel does. I regret buying it.
With a name like Water Magnet I was thinking it would be like a Sham Wow , but I don't think Vince would be too happy. It does worl ok at drying your car - just ok
The towel doesn't feel like a high quality product: it isn't. When I received it, the material does feel a little cheap, but it does what it says: sucks water off your car.It is a very thin towel, so when I'm going to rinse my car I first use a microfiber that is thick enough to remove excess water from my Smart and then dry the remaining with the Meguiar's (if you have a bigger car then 1 of this would not be enough, at least 2 or 3). This towel doesn't leave any streaks or spots, but again, been too thin makes it useless if you don't have a dozen or maybe use it like I just explained.A good product, but not a marvel. I'm pretty sure there are much better products and bigger towels that are as absorbant or more than this one.
Pem America Resort Bath Towel, White is a good example of a high quality cotton towel that would do an excellent job. It does not have the soft/plush characteristics of a quality towel (it actually feels quite rough) and ONLY measures 22x30. The fact is this towel will not meet the expectations of the majority of buyers. If you really want a luxury towel to pamper your vehicle, why not choose one you would use yourself.P.S. Due to the small size of the towel I would need THREE (3) of these to properly dry my car. According to car experts the best option for car drying is a WHITE 100% COTTON TOWEL. And when you find your quality 100% cotton towel set, the hand towel is great for detailing (wheels, trim, etc) while the washcloth can be used for applying waxes/polishes. It is highly recommended to remove any tags and check for rough edges when choosing a towel to avoid scratching the paint.Peace, BenEph 3: 17-21
